I was born in Vermont (U.S.A.), to a journalist/ editor mother and a very well-read father. After high school, I moved to California, where I completed my B.A. (Literature/ Politics) at the University of California at Santa Cruz, following my passion for ideas and language into literary and political theory. I continued to immerse myself in fascinating concepts and dense writing in the English and CSPT (Cultural, Social, and Political Thought) program at the University of Victoria (B.C.), graduating with an M.A. in 2006.

I have tutored students of all ages and edited a wide variety of documents for clients in the years since. I enjoy working on all stages of both fiction and nonfiction projects and helping authors create the most effective content possible. Aside from editing, I enjoy time with my children, reading, running, hiking, horseback riding, and being outdoors.
